Coffee and End Table Project (Part 7)

I have started to construct the end tables starting with the sides. I’m letting them dry overnight before I connect them.

My Strategy

I find it easier to build up a project by glueing together a few parts at the same time to ensure a perfect fit. This may be slower, but it ensures that the project will be square when it is finished.

Joining the Panels

I’m using biscuits to join the side panels to the legs of the end table. I cut 6 slots into each panel, 3 on each end, to accommodate a #10 biscuit. I then glued and clamped the legs to the panels, keeping the inside of the panels down. If there is any squeeze out of glue, it will run down inside the end tables where it won’t be noticed.
