I have suffered a setback with my coffee and end tables. The spacing between the legs where I intended to attach the drawer slides is too far apart for the 20-inch slides I bought.
Using Longer Slides
I thought about buying longer slides, but the next size is 22 inches. This slide would not only be too long, but the holes for the screws are not in the right place for attaching it.
My Solution
My solution is to make blocks from a piece of 2-by-4 and glue it in the back. Nobody will see it once I complete the tables. This correction will set me back a day as I need to let the glue dry overnight.
